Israel may be a small country but it has a lot to offer - Great schools, beautiful beaches and many other things.
The Israeli Culture
Israel has had to struggle to exist. This struggle is expressed by the very special culture of the country. I would like to show our culture to one of the great Anti-Semites the world had ever known – Richard Wagner. I decided to write a letter to him and express my ideas about our culture in this creative way:
Kite Competition
I’m a part of a project called Gildor and we held a kite competition a while ago. We were supposed to investigate the influence of wind on objects through playing with the kites.
Everybody Comes to Israel
Everybody comes to Israel, including international fashion clothing stores.
Being a Teenager in Israel
If teenagers around the world think that their teenage lives are just what the doctor ordered, they are in for a big surprise. Because they have no idea what a fully-fledged teenage life really is.
Driving in Israel
As in many other places in the world, Israel also has many car accidents. Drivers in Israel sometimes run a red light or drive at fast speeds, just like in any other country. But the State of Israel is trying to prevent these accidents with a brilliant idea called the New Driving Program.
Volunteering in the Community
Schools all over the world have many things in common. Such as, similar lessons students have to take in order to graduate, different rules and dress codes pupils have to follow in school and more.
More Than Just a Newspaper
Last night I got a group invitation on Facebook, calling me to support some project. At first, I wanted to ignore it like I usually do with those invites, without even paying any attention to its content or cause. Then, something caught my eye. It was sent to me by a friend who is a lesbian. This was an invitation to support an upcoming project – a newspaper which is created entirely by the homo-lesbian teen community in Israel.
The Druze in the IDF
The Druze are a religious community who live in Israel, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon.
Volunteering
A couple of days ago I left school early to go volunteering in a children’s ward in a hospital. I was very excited because it was the first time I was doing something like this, but I just couldn’t wait to get there and maybe make sick children happy.
The IAF Technical School Program
Our school is starting the second year of a special program, which is an extension of the Technical IAF (Israeli Air Force) school in Ashkelon.
