Oranim College
Every week approximately 1% of the students from the Haifa bay area and Israel valley area do not attend their schools. The students come from the city, the kibbutz, and small villages. These students go to a school for the gifted at Oranim College.
Leadership in Masada
Ben Gurion University not only teaches its younger high school students the importance of education, but also helps them gain experience in leadership.
School Elections
My school, ORT Afek, had recently conducted elections to the school council. I was running for the position of student body president.
Preparing for University
Israel really cares about the future of the new generation and therefore had opened a program to prepare high-school students for university classes. This program is aimed to advance the education of the children in the country. Many universities in the country have opened their doors to surrounding cities in order to enrich the knowledge of the children.
Green Board
Every school, I’m sure, has a student body. It’s a council of students who gathers in order to make a difference. They think of ways to consider the wants and needs of all the students and discuss them with the school’s administration.
Personal Commitment
In my school and in many others, everyone is obligated to participate in an important project called “Personal Commitment”.
Special Projects In My Old Schools
Looking back at my years in elementary school, I started thinking about many special projects that I took part in.
In my first school, two blind kids were included in a regular class (as part of an Inclusion program).
Kite Competition
I’m a part of a project called Gildor and we held a kite competition a while ago. We were supposed to investigate the influence of wind on objects through playing with the kites.
The IAF Technical School Program
Our school is starting the second year of a special program, which is an extension of the Technical IAF (Israeli Air Force) school in Ashkelon.
