Two weeks ago I had an activity in my school about the Paralympics.

The Paralympics are just like the Olympics, but they are meant for people with disabilities.

In the morning we listened to a lecture by Dotan Meishar. Dotan is a disabled man who lost his leg in the army. He really loved sports and he didn’t stop doing sports even after the accident. These days, he plays wheelchair basketball for the Israeli national team and he even played in the Paralympics in china 2008.

After the lecture we had a show about the Olympics and the Paralympics. About an hour after the show we had an English lesson about the Paralympics with Jen from the British consulate

At the end of the day we had an unusual experience with Dotan. He brought 10 wheelchairs and we got to play wheelchair basketball! It was so much fun.
