On February 1, 2012, a couple of my friends and I went with our physics teacher to a special event in Netanya, where some contests on several subjects took place and many ORT students had participated in the competitions.

The sub-contests were about art, physics, planning buildings that contribute to the community and more. My friends and I took part in a competition of analogies, a theme in which knowledge in certain fields is used in order to solve problems in new fields, according to the similarity between them.

In the first part of the competition we were asked to answer a test of multiple-choice questions about analogies. In the second part the three of us had to work together as a team in order to figure out how a wooden toy, which is called an Indian Stick, worked.

After a long, mentally exhausting, but very funny day, we won the third place. We had a great time together and met nice kids from other schools. I hope that other pupils will have this enlightening experience of learning new things in the Ortiada, and enjoy it as much as we did.
