I live in Gan Yavne – a small town in southern Israel. During the last few days, the area suffered more than 100 rockets launched from the Gaza Strip.

Fortunately, there is something that’s defending us and its name is the Iron Dome. The Iron Dome is an Israeli defense system, which intercepts short-range rockets. The Israeli companies Rafael and Elta developed it, and we – the citizens of Israel – are very proud that this system was invented by Israeli people.

Recently, the Iron Dome has been intercepting many rockets and saved many lives, and who knows what would have happened without it… Over the past 3 days over 100 rockets were fired at Israeli cities! No military bases or army target nearby – those rockets were intended to kill civilians!

At present, we are trying to study from home. We can’t study in schools because it’s not possible to manage an ordinary day, when there are so many alarms and everyone has to run in panic to the shelters.

It’s hard to live this way, but we are trying to keep our normal daily routine, at least as much as we can.
