When we heard about the Eye2Israel overnight seminar, we got excited, especially me. It was an option to meet and spend time with other teens who have the same goal as I have – representing Israel.
Everything was ready, and we took the bus to Jerusalem. The way was amazing and funny, and when we got to Jerusalem (after a tour at Herzl Mountain) we had a special activity – Israel’s Gr8s. Every group from each school had to come up with a creative way to show their list of Israel’s 8 best… well, whatever they wanted!
Each team presented their list to the rest of the groups. The ideas were very creative, and we all laughed and enjoyed the shows. For example, one group chose the 8 best songs of Israeli military bands. They created a storyline and mixed it up with the songs while singing, dancing and miming. Other groups made videos, which were cool and funny, like the best 8 ‘Bourekas Films’ of all times (Bourekas films are an Israeli genre, which includes a lot of comedy and not much sense). In addition, they captured themselves imitating scenes from the films and it was very funny.
This activity made me think how lucky I am for living in Israel.
The activity was funny, fun, and helped us know each other better. All I have to say in the end is that Israel is gr8!
