The international Scouts’ Uniform Day was on October 27 all around the world.
On that day all Scouts around the world wore their Scouts’ uniform all day. This day’s goal was to show that you’re proud of the fact that you’re a member of the Scouts movement and to publish the Scouts in your own town. This day was very successful in Israel and the USA and in different countries all over the world.
This tradition started one year ago, when Itay Feldman, a young manager in his troop thought of the idea and presented it to his troop. They decided to publish it all over the country. After the huge success this day had last year in Israel, they decided to make it international.
This year this day was on a school day, so I went to school wearing my Scouts’ uniform. Many kids asked me why I was wearing the Scouts’ uniform and not the school’s, so I explained about the special day, and I think some of them understood that if I go to school wearing the Scouts’ uniform it shows how much I love the Scouts, and I think that maybe it even convinced them to try going to the Scouts to see how it is. And if it did, this day’s goal was accomplished
