Over a month ago a bomb hidden in a bag at a bus stop in Jerusalem killed one person and injured over 30 others.
I live in Ma’ale Adumim, a city near Jerusalem.
The terrorist attack in Jerusalem occurred on June 23. When it happened I was at school, I sat in class and received many calls, but I couldn’t answer because I was in class. When I saw that people wouldn’t stop calling me I asked the teacher to leave the classroom, I answered my friend and she told me about the bomb. I was shocked and scared because I knew that my older sister is supposed to return from the army and get on that bus.
I went back to class and told everyone about what happened, everyone was scared and everyone started to leave the classroom to call to their families and friends and check if they were ok.
We called our friend who was in Jerusalem. She told us that she heard the bomb. She was so scared and we were all very frightened.
The fear we all felt in at that moment was an indescribable fear – we felt like we were in a horror movie.
We got out of School and we were afraid to walk in the street, we were afraid to get on the bus, no one wanted to be alone at that moment.
I just hope the world will hear about it, will see photos and listen to people and the news telling about what happened, and help us fight this nightmare so kids could go home without being afraid.
