Underneath a mine in San Jose, Chile, 33 miners were stuck in what they had described as an “inferno,” while waiting to be released by the rescue team. The miners were finally rescued on October 13, 2010 – 69 days after the mine had collapsed over them.

Recently, 23 (out of the 33) miners came to Israel with their spouses. They were invited here by the Ministry of Tourism, which paid for their trip. They stayed in Israel for a week and visited all the holy Christian and Jewish sites. They were also honored by a visit to the President’s residence in Jerusalem.
