During the last year I have gained many friends from different countries and they asked me a lot of questions about where I live.
7 Reasons to Support Israel
Yesterday I watched a video on YouTube, which showed an American woman called Joyce Kaufman, who listed 7 reasons to support Israel. The speech was given at the 850 WFTL Radio Host. The video has gotten almost 300,000 views on YouTube.
Israel at WorldExpo 2010
In the tradition of world fairs and conventions, this year the World Expo is held in Shanghai, China. Israel is represented in the Expo with the building called the Seashell, based on its shape. One side of the Seashell pavilion is made of stone and the other of glass. The design symbolizes Israeli innovation and technology and the dialogue between humans and nature, earth and sky and past and future.
The Car of the Future
I’m pretty sure that most of you don’t have a car because you are teenagers, but in a few years you will be adults and could drive a car – so at this point in time I’d like to present to you the car of the future.
Stanley Fischer
Professor Stanley Fischer, the governor of the bank of Israel, had a big day recently, when Euromoney, the world’s most important financial magazine, announced that he (Fischer) is the central bank governor of the year 2010.
Lack of Sportsmanship
The 39th annual Chess Olympiad was held in September 2010 in Russia, with 151 national teams from all over the world. The Israeli team won the third place in the open section and the Israeli players were very prominent in the individuals section as well.
New Hamas Video
The terror organization Hamas had recently published a new video. In this video we can see the kidnapped solider Gilad Shalit, who is being held in captivity somewhere in Gaza for over 4 years without contact with the outside world. Gilad is placed between two armed men and at the end of the video there are sounds of shooting.
What You Don’t Expect to See
