The Festigal is an annual event that takes place every Hanukkah. It’s a singing competition for famous actors and singers.
The audience, which is usually tons of excited children, votes for the winner.
The first Festigal took place in Haifa in 1981. These days the show is held all over the country: in Ashkelon, Haifa, Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem and other cities.
Every Hanukkah thousands of people pay a lot of money to come and see the competition with their families. This year the Festigal theme is time travel (literally called “Festigal on Time” – a pun in Hebrew).
This Hanukkah I didn’t make it to the Festigal, but I’m sure that it was an amazing show like always.
