When I thought about good subjects to write about, I couldn’t find any. I was amazed because there is always something interesting going on in Israel. But then, an idea crossed my mind. What if I would write about the opinions of people who live in Israel, about the country itself? It would show people around the world how we, the people who actually live here, feel about it.
So I started asking friends about their opinions about Israel and about living here, and the results were great.
When I turned to Aviv from Givatayim, he immediately agreed to express his opinion: “Life in Israel is very enjoyable, despite the entire situation. Israel is a very small country, but it is considered one of the most developed countries in the world. We have televisions, cell phones, computers and other things that make life much easier. Not every country has those kinds of things. Another thing that makes life in Israel very pleasant is how Israelis care for others. Even if something happens at the edge of the country, it would concern everybody and everyone would care about it.”
Or, from Holon, said: “I think that Israel is the most beautiful place in the whole world. The people in Israel are unique and care about each other very much. They are ready to come and support you, even when they don’t know you.”
In my opinion Or and Aviv are totally right. Even though I haven’t lived in other countries, I love my country. I love Israel for being so beautiful and big-hearted.
