Many people think that Israel is all desert and sand with absolutely no technology. This is the complete opposite of our reality.

First of all, Israel is only a bit more than 50% desert. Israel is the headline of technology from agriculture to computers. You use Israeli technology every day without even knowing, like the USB flash drive for example.

Another matter which might not be clear is our government. We have a democratic government, not a dictatorship like most of the Arab countries in the Middle East. Our main target is to achieve peace. We are surrounded by enemies and might be attacked every moment. We have been negotiating with Syria but it is still demanding its conquered territories (conquered by Israel during the Six Day War). Syria isn’t willing to achieve peace without getting back its territories. Those territories are settled, which means that giving them back will force people to leave their homes, and move to another place. This is a huge decision to make. Right now the government is trying to reduce the demands as much as possible.

To conclude, Israel is a highly developed country that will always be willing to achieve peace.
